There is a massive array of Harley-related rallies and events globally. Among the most famous is DAYTONA BEACH BIKE WEEK, held annually in Florida. Half a million people attend over ten days. Attractions include motorcycle racing, rock concerts, parties and street festivals!

A rival, hugely popular event is the STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY, again an annual occurrence, this time in South Dakota. It was inaugurated in 1938 by the "Jackpine Gypsies" Motorcycle Club. Called the "Black Hills Classic", it featured one race with nine competitors, and was viewed by a small number of spectators!

The largest U.K. event heavily associated with Harley-Davidson is the BULLDOG BASH. Again, it began life (in 1987) as a small get-together for bikers, based on the premise of the Hells Angels' "perfect party"! It takes place near Stratford-upon-Avon at the Stratford County Raceway, and is celebrated above all for its drag-racing, a very American activity!
